Jessica Chastain’s 15 lbs Weight Gain for Role in the Help
Countless movie stars have lost or gained weight for their role in a movie and Jessica Chastain is no exception. For her latest movie The Help, Jessica gained 15 lbs for her role. It was not an easy task for her since she is a practicing vegan and hated gaining weight. But for the sake of art, she did it.
“I had to be soft and curvy, so I ate a lot of soy. Soy helps you become curvy because it has estrogen in it,” she said. “So what I would do — and this is really gross — is buy cartons of soy ice cream, microwave it and drink it. It was disgusting, [but] wait [until] you see my boobs in the movie.”
In the movie, she plays Celia, an unwelcome newcomer who reminds locals of Marilyn Monroe. After the movie, Jessica was able to return to her slim figure with the help of yoga and her vegan diet.

Personally I think she looks better with a bit of soft and curviness on her. It makes her look more like a woman. Women are supposed to be soft and curvy. These hollywood types are just strange. This is why women like Beyonce, Eva Mendes, or Scarlett Johanssen have more men followers….men like curves!!!! (and women look better with them!)
